  • Job Type: Permanent Full - Time; 30 - 40 hours per week

    Description

    We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of highly skilled private paediatric therapists. With a waitlist of clients seeking regular ongoing sessions, our newest team member can expect to have a complete caseload.

    With the offering of a flexible schedule and freedom to book your own schedule, it can be a great means to build your caseload and diversify your practice with as little or as much work as you want.

    We expect the position to begin immediately.

    What We Offer

    • A well-equipped sensory-motor gym to work on gross motor and self-regulation skills

    • three private 1:1 rooms, complete with all the therapy tools and toys you could need, to work on fine motor and school-readiness skills.

    • An ongoing list of new referrals from the community for a variety of children/youth with diverse needs.

    • The opportunity to collaborate with the other highly skilled, and deeply passionate Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists on our team.

    • Monthly team meetings consisting of in-services on a variety of educational topics.

    • All invoices and billings to clients completed by the office administrator.

    What You Bring

    • Training and experience in delivering sensory-based and fine motor therapies (required)

    • Familiar with standardized assessments including (Peabody, M-ABC, BOT, M-FUN, Beery, Sensory Profile) and writing detailed reports (required)

    • Comfortable supervising a therapy assistant

    • Available to do school/community visits in future (post-COVID)

    • Must be eligible for the RASP with 3 years experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders or be available for the RASP supervision program (2 year commitment)

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Graduation from a recognized Occupational Therapy program (required)

    • COTBC license (required)

    • Eligibility for the RASP (preferred)

    • Pediatrics: 1 year (required)

    • Occupational Therapy experience: 1 year (required)

  • Job Type: independent contractor, part-time hours

    Description

    We are looking for an SLP to join our team. This is an independent contractor position. You can create your own hours/schedule. This can be a great way to build your caseload and diversify your practice with as little or as much work as you want. We receive numerous referrals from the community and carry a waitlist for a variety of children/youth with various needs.

    Our clinic has a sensory-motor gym and small 1:1 rooms to allow you the flexibility to teach speech and language in diverse ways. It is complete with all the therapy tools, toys, and games you could need. You would be collaborating with another SLP and OTs on our team.

    Training/experience in delivering social skill programming and using AAC devices is required. You would need to be familiar with standardized assessments including (PLS, CELF) and writing detailed reports. You would need to feel comfortable supervising a therapy assistant and available for occasional school/community visits. You would need to be eligible for the RASP with 3 years experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders.

    The position is currently available and can start anytime

    Qualifications & Experience

    Graduation from a recognized Speech Language Pathology program (required)

    Registered with CSHBC, licenced to practice SLP in BC (required)

    Eligibility for the RASP with 3 years experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (required)

    Pediatrics: 1 year (required)

    Speech Language Pathology: 1 year (required)
